Thank you sir! 51 is mostly original, (besides having a 289/3spd toploader), and it’s been painted once. I’ve had it for 5 years or so.

You may see it then. I have to find a place that does 1995 and older emissions testing, and is open on Saturday’s. Most places only do 1996 and above these days. 3 more years and it will be exempt!

I’m waiting until summer mainly because I have a motorcycle bench and project taking up most of the stall. I also have 2 other motorcycles and a 3 wheeler in there currently, plus a regular work bench. I think if I can get the project bike out of the way, sell one bike, and put the 3 wheeler in the back shed (with my two other bikes) I’ll have enough room to get it in there.

I’m strongly debating just stashing the project bike away though and stuffing the truck in there anyway.

YES! Yes it is!!

Seriously, you might as well start with a base F-150 instead of paying the premium for a Lightning, if you’re going to replace all of the suspension anyway, and then use the savings for a bad ass crate engine.
